This album still gets a big ol’ MEH from me. It might have been awesome in 1994 but right now doesn’t really do anything new or exciting. I guess with the names attached one could be forgiven for expecting it to be ZOMFGBBQ awesome but it’s really just “okay.” I’ve never really liked Erasure though I loved Yaz. And stuff like this makes me think all the more that Alan Wilder was the greater synth heavyweight in DM than Martin was.
Makes me sad, really.
In fact the more I listen, the more I’d like to hear both of them playing guitar. This just sounds like twits noodling.
